Very nice pencil signature on an album book page [dated 1938] hand signed by ukelele playing actor & comedian George Formby. George became the UK's highest-paid entertainer & was the most popular British comedian during the 1930s & 40s due to the popularity of his movies of the time.During the Second World War Formby worked extensively for the Entertainments National Service Association (ENSA), and entertained civilians and troops, and by 1946 it was estimated that he had performed in front of more than three million service personel at the time.
