Douglas Bader World War 2 Fighter Pilot Autograph

An album page signed by Group Captain Douglas Bader the second world war Royal Air Force flying ace. Having lost both legs in a flying accident in 1931 he is credited with 22 aerial victories, four shared victories, six probables. He scored his first victories over Dunkirk during the Battle of France in 1940 he also took part in the Battle of Britain. Bader baled out over German-occupied France in 1941 and spent time in the infamous Colditz Castle Prison Camp, where he remained until April 1945 when the camp was liberated by the First United States Army. A hero in the true sense, Bader died in 1982 at the age of 72. Nicly framed in wood this is an item i rarely get hold of.
